Total Sono provides enhanced patient care with ultrasound technicians who are located at every obstetrics and gynecologist (OB/GYN) office and are certified by the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine (AIUM).

Why AIUM Accreditation Matters in Women’s Health

When it comes to your patient base, knowledge, expertise and skills matter. Patients want to feel comfortable knowing that their health is in the capable hands of experts who are clinically competent and have the qualifications to prove it.

In achieving AIUM accreditation, Total Sono meets and exceeds a set of nationally recognized standards and guidelines for the performance of basic ultrasound procedures, thereby achieving a significant milestone in patient care. We work in collaboration with health care facilities to provide detailed specifications and the tools needed to perform ultrasound procedures both consistently as well as accurately.

At Total Sono, all of our ultrasound technologists are AIUM certified and are backed by board-certified maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) physicians who have additional, advanced training in the interpretation and evaluation of each ultrasound performed.

All Total Sono sites are certified through the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), and we employ ultrasound technologists who are ARDMS certified.

Comprehensive Care That Starts with Patients First

Total Sono is made up of a team of professionals who specialize in high quality ultrasound services. Our goal is to provide optimal health care to patients by offering ultrasound procedures that are accurate, consistent, and convenient.

Part of being certified by the AIUM means we must demonstrate that our entire team has the expertise to provide high quality ultrasound services to each patient we see. The AIUM accreditation process also involves a review of actual ultrasound images to ensure that the ultrasounds are detailed, technically-acceptable (based on the set of national standards) and accurately reported.

Beyond this, Total Sono offers patients flexible scheduling and ultrasound procedures completed right in the same office that patients visit. We also handle all of the billing, prior authorizations and hiring/training of ultrasound technologists.
